Crowns
Crowns were more
than symbols of wealth and royalty. They represented power, religion,
legitimacy and the identity of some of history’s greatest empires.
From the British
and Byzantine Empires to the Mughal, Ottoman, Roman, Qing, Japanese and Inca
Empires, royal headpieces reflected the culture, beliefs and political power of
their rulers.
