Στη γιορτή της Ποίησης, που είναι η
Βασίλισσα του χώρου της Λογοτεχνίας, η οποία θα λάβει χώρα σήμερα στην
πανέμορφη γενέθλια πόλη, στο Ναύπλιο, ο παρών ιστολόγος συμμετέχει
-εξ αποστάσεως- με ένα ποίημά του στην Αγγλική. Το ποίημα αυτό είναι το εξής:
On the Hesperios’ trails…
It would have rather been embittered
“greening of
evil”
I
think they call it
at
the blue palace
of
the Phoenician princess
the Hesperios… Pineios
because for long its traces
we had left to lose.
But look
through some peaceful procedures
we discovered them again
together with those of the consul general
of the heaven.
A swarm of pilgrims
on its
evergreen banks
there at the heart
of the Benedictine monastery
at the valley
of the white horse.
Swift caiques
and perennial columns
always end up as pots
full of flowers
unprecedented transferring fragrances
from ancient Corinth
through the
ages.
The Thames’ ribbon
was solved here
and freed
the rivers waves
together
with our prayers
and the temple with the successive
narthexes
recorded the honest intentions
of abbots and novices.
The boats at the sunny Abingdon
never die
they only
emigrate
when
they get older
at the gardens and
courtyards
of the Saxon
town.
