Η Αντιγόνη του Σοφοκλή

Το Αρχαίο Ελληνικό Θέατρο και ιδιαίτερα η Αντιγόνη του Σοφοκλή δεν αφήνουν ασυγκίνητο κανένα. Πολύ συχνά στο Λονδίνο βλέπουμε θεατρικές παραστάσεις, με Έλληνες ή ξένους δημιουργούς, αφιερωμένες στους υπέροχους και αξεπέραστους προγόνους μας.

Από τις 4 έως τις 28 Μαρτίου θα παρουσιασθεί στο ονομαστό Barbican του Λονδίνου η Αντιγόνη του Σοφοκλή, από την ηθοποιό Juliette Binoche, σε μια σύγχρονη απόδοση της τραγωδίας του Σοφοκλή, που έχει μεταφραστεί από την βραβευμένη ποιήτρια Anne Carson.

Drawing on his ‘ability to break open texts calcified by tradition’ (Guardian), the director now turns to a classic Greek masterpiece.
