The Church in Britain needs wise and courageous women. Our society is searching for truth and hope - and history shows us that when God raised up the Fathers of the Church, bishops and priests who shaped nations, there were also women of influence who taught them, and shaped the Church and society in their own right.
Among many others were Priscilla, Thecla, Mary Magdalene, Nonna, Macrina the Younger, Melania the Younger, St Marcella, Leoba, Hilda of Whitby, and Olga of Kiev - women whose wisdom and learning helped guide the people of God.
Now it is our turn.
This generation needs women who will take up the baton - women who are theologically trained, rooted in Scripture, and ready to speak with clarity and conviction. The Church needs you. Society needs you.
