Orthodox Thyateira Youth
COTY is the official
Archdiocesan youth ministry that was set up in 2023 with the blessing of His
Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira & Great Britain to serve the youth
(16-35) in the UK.
Though most of our
events and talks have occurred in London so far, we have a nationwide scope. We
are looking to identify and support hubs outside London -- they will act
independently but operate under a shared framework.
Each hub will have its
dedicated priest for spiritual guidance, and also dedicated youth coordinators
to organise events and run initiatives.
You may be aware that
COTY began the process of building these hubs over the past year, but we are
excited to complete and build on this work.
As central
coordinators, we will share resources and ideas, lead planning for
cross-regional events, and unite hubs behind a shared annual theme and vision.
We're hoping to learn
more about the communities outside London and begin identifying clergy and
youth partners.
