H μοναστική ζωή σήμερα

Ημερίδα με γενικό θέμα τον τίτλο της παρούσας ανάρτησης οργανώνει το Ινστιτούτο Ορθόδοξων Χριστιανικών Σπουδών του Κέϊμπριτζ. Η σχετική ανακοίνωση αναφέρει τα εξής:

We are very grateful to welcome Archimandrite Zacharias (Monastery of St John the Baptist, Essex) and Father George Guiver (Mirfield, Community of the Resurrection) as the two speakers for our next Conversation Day, which will address the theme of ‘Monastic Life in Today’s World’.

The event will take place on Saturday 19 May at Wesley House, The Dining Hall (top floor, Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BJ - through the red gate). As before, each speaker with deliver a talk followed by a questions-and-answers session. Also, there will be time for the two speakers to respond to one another and take questions from the audience.

The programme for the day follows this structure:

10:30-11:00: Arrival & coffee/tea

11:00-12:15: Archimandrite Zacharias’ presentation (followed by brief response / questions and answers)

12:15-13:00: Light lunch (sandwiches and refreshments)

13:00-14:15: Father George Guiver’s presentation (followed by brief response / questions and answers)
