Learning a foreign language

Estimates for learning the official languages of European countries vary widely, ranging from relatively quick paths to long-term commitments. Several Western European languages fall into the 24-week range, while Germanic and Romance languages generally require around 30 weeks.

Languages across Eastern Europe tend to demand significantly more time, often around 44 weeks, reflecting their complex grammar and structure. A few languages stand out as exceptionally challenging, placed in the category that requires far more effort than typical learning timelines.
