Επανέναρξη Κατηχητικών τηλεδιασκέψεων

 
Από το Γραφείο Νεότητος της Ιεράς Αρχιεπισκοπής Θυατείρων και Μ.Β. ανακοινώνεται η Επανέναρξη των Κατηχητικών τηλεδιασκέψεων, με ευθύνη και επιμέλεια του Συντονιστή του Γραφείου Νεότητας της Ιεράς Αρχιεπισκοπής Θεολόγου Αλεξίου Φλωρίδη.

Esteemed Presidents of the communities of the Archdiocese,
Dear Friends in Christ,
 
I hope this email finds you all safe and well. By God’s grace, from this Sunday the 31st of January, we will commence our new series of Online Classes for the young people of our Archdiocese. We will be discussing the theme ‘Growing in our Faith’ for ages 6-10 and ‘Contemporary Issues, Christian solutions’ for both ages 11-15 and 16-24. Here is a brief summary of our upcoming programme:
 
Years 6-10 ‘Growing in our Faith’
 
Week 1: 'Water of Life' - Theophany
Week 2: 'Family of Faith' - 'I am the vine and you are the branches’
Week 3: 'God's Presence in our lives' - Do we have proof of His
existence? Who is God?
Week 4: 'The Ten Commandments and the Law of Love'
Week 5: 'Our heroes and role models' - Who to look up to?
Week 6:  'Unity in Diversity' - Church Tradition and Cultures of the
World (Looking at Mission, particularly in India and Africa)
Week 7: 'Our Church - Our origins & our Future’
 

‘Years 11-15 and 16-24 ‘Contemporary Issues, Christian Solutions’
 
Week 1: Virtual/Online Reality and Real Life - Focus on benefits and problems of social media, online image and comparisons with the image and likeness of God. What image do we want to portray?
Week 2: Using 'Time' Wisely:  Our understanding of Chronos and Kairos;  how do we make the most of our time on earth?
Week 3: Friendship Today
Week 4: Stress, Anxiety and Mental Wellness
Week 5: Science and Faith - With particular emphasis on contemporary Atheism
Week 6: Adolescence Today: Opportunities and Challenges, with a particular insight into St Basil the Great's teaching
Week 7: 'What are the greatest challenges for a young Orthodox Christian?' Discussion/Debate
 
A new series will then follow for all age groups, on the theme of ‘Holy and Great Lent’ leading to Pascha.
