30 Years Ledbury Poetry

An important birthday for the Poets’ diary.

Ledbury Poetry Festival returns 2-11 July 2027, and it will be the thirtieth.

Established in 1996, Ledbury Poetry held its first festival in 1997. The thirtieth-anniversary programme honours how poetry has evolved since it began, its place in the present, and the role it will play in the future.

Next year, the festival will celebrate thirty years of poets with a core programme of live readings, conversations, workshops, film and music, alongside an imaginative year-round education programme (a strand of Ledbury Poetry close to the director's heart) and a series of community-led poetry projects in and around Herefordshire.

Tickets for the festival go on sale in early spring. In the meantime, put 2-11 July 2027 in the diary. If you've never been, it will be a good year to go. If you've been going for years, thank you.
